What Is RPL for the Certificate III in Concreting?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment pathway that allows experienced concreters to have existing skills, knowledge and workplace experience assessed against the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification.
If you have been working on concrete slabs, driveways, footings, paths, commercial floors, tilt panel work, civil projects, concrete repairs or decorative finishes, you may already have skills that align with the CPC30320 Certificate III in Concreting.
RPL does not mean skipping assessment. It means your existing evidence is reviewed by a qualified assessor through a partner Registered Training Organisation to determine whether you meet the required competencies.

Qualification Level
AQF Level 3 — Certificate III. Nationally recognised across Australia for concreters working in residential and commercial concreting operations.
Packaging Rules
CPC30320 requires competency in 22 units: 17 core units and 5 elective units. Three electives must be selected from Group A specialist concreting units.

⚠️ Experience Guideline for RPL
CPC30320 has no formal entry requirements listed on training.gov.au. However, for RPL purposes, applicants generally need substantial hands-on concreting experience and evidence across the required units.
As a practical guideline, many suitable RPL applicants have around 2 or more years of current concreting experience, but eligibility depends on the breadth, currency and quality of evidence.
