What Are RPL Qualifications?

Recognition of Prior Learning, or RPL, is a formal assessment process that evaluates whether your existing work experience, prior training and demonstrated competency align with the requirements of a nationally recognised qualification in Australia.

Rather than unnecessarily repeating training you may already understand through work, eligible applicants may be able to use documented evidence of existing skills to pursue qualification outcomes through partner Registered Training Organisations.

Qualifications pursued through RPL are issued under the Australian Qualifications Framework by the relevant Registered Training Organisation and are nationally recognised across Australian states and territories when the applicant is assessed as competent by the partner RTO.

Short answer: RPL qualifications are nationally recognised Australian qualifications that may be awarded by a Registered Training Organisation when an applicant's existing skills, work experience and evidence meet the required units of competency.
Compliance note: Right Pathway is not a Registered Training Organisation and does not issue qualifications. We provide eligibility guidance, evidence preparation and pathway support only. Formal competency assessment and qualification issuance are completed by partner Registered Training Organisations.
