Evidence-First RPL Support Before Independent RTO Assessment

Unlike DIY RPL applications or going directly to an RTO without preparation, Right Pathway uses an evidence-first RPL support model to help applicants identify, organise and map workplace evidence before independent RTO assessment.

Many applicants have years of practical experience but are unsure how to match work history, licences, photos, references, job records and prior training to qualification requirements. Right Pathway helps applicants prepare a clearer evidence portfolio before their experience is reviewed by an independent Registered Training Organisation.

Evidence Review

We help applicants review workplace documents, licences, tickets, prior learning, photos, references and examples of completed work.

Skills Mapping

We help map practical work experience to possible qualification pathways and identify where evidence may be strong or weak.

Gap Identification

We help applicants understand what evidence may be missing before formal RTO assessment begins.

Independent Assessment

Right Pathway is not an RTO. Formal assessment and qualification issuance are completed by independent Registered Training Organisations.

Right Pathway’s 6-Step Evidence Preparation Process

RPL enquiry process at Right Pathway

1. RPL Enquiry

We begin by discussing your goals and confirming important details, including your preferred qualification, whether you are currently in Australia, and your visa status if applicable.

  • Qualification name or industry area
  • Whether you are currently in Australia
  • Your visa type, if applicable
  • Your work history and career goals

RPL process explained by email and document checklist

2. RPL Process via Email

We send an email outlining the RPL process, together with a checklist of documents commonly required for your initial evidence review.

This helps you understand what evidence may be useful before proceeding to the partner RTO assessment stage.

Collecting supporting evidence for RPL pathway preparation

3. Collect Supporting Evidence

Reply to our email with your supporting documents attached. For trade qualifications, photos or a portfolio may also be required as part of your evidence.

Evidence may include employment records, references, job descriptions, licences, tickets, work samples, project documentation, payslips or photos of completed work.

Initial RPL evidence review and payment step

4. Initial Review and Payment

Right Pathway completes an initial evidence review to confirm that you have submitted the necessary documents and may be suitable to proceed.

Payment must also be secured before your documents are submitted to a partner RTO for formal competency assessment.

This initial review is not a formal competency assessment. Formal assessment is completed only by the partner Registered Training Organisation.

Partner RTO assessment and feedback for RPL application

5. RTO Assessment and Feedback

The partner RTO assessor reviews your documents, verifies your evidence, and may request additional evidence if required. This stage often takes around 6 to 8 weeks, with faster options available in some cases depending on the qualification, evidence quality and RTO requirements.

Depending on your submitted evidence, the RTO may also arrange a phone call or online interview to discuss your skills and experience. You may be asked to complete an RPL Kit, with support from Right Pathway throughout the process.

Receiving your qualification after successful RPL assessment by partner RTO

6. Receive Your Qualification

If the partner RTO determines that competency requirements are met, your certificate is prepared and sent to you by email in PDF format.

Please note that any outstanding payments, if applicable, must be settled before the qualification can be delivered.

How Right Pathway Is Different

Right Pathway is not an RTO, college, migration agent or qualification issuer. We specialise in helping experienced workers prepare clear, organised RPL evidence before formal assessment by a partner Registered Training Organisation.

Evidence-first support

We focus on helping applicants understand, collect and organise workplace evidence before it is submitted for formal RPL assessment.

Clear RTO separation

Formal competency assessment and qualification issuance are handled only by partner Registered Training Organisations, not by Right Pathway.

Australia-wide online process

Applicants can start their RPL pathway online from anywhere in Australia, with support available across multiple industries and qualification levels.

No false guarantees

We do not guarantee qualifications, licences, jobs, visas or assessment outcomes. The final decision always belongs to the assessing RTO.
