What Is RPL for ICT Networking Experience?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment pathway that considers whether existing skills, knowledge and workplace experience align with units of competency in a nationally recognised qualification.

Qualification status: ICT50418 Diploma of Information Technology Networking is superseded. Training.gov.au records that it was superseded by ICT50120 Diploma of Information Technology on 20 July 2020. ICT50120 was later superseded by ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology, which includes an Advanced Networking specialisation.
Short answer: If you have strong ICT networking experience, your evidence may still support RPL assessment against a current ICT qualification. Right Pathway can help identify and prepare relevant evidence for partner RTO review.
Compliance note: Right Pathway is not a Registered Training Organisation. We provide evidence preparation, facilitation and pathway support only. Formal competency assessment and qualification issuance are completed by the partner RTO.

The historical ICT50418 qualification focused on managing the installation of networks, including internetworking, security and e-business integration. It contained 16 units in total: 5 core units and 11 electives.
