RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) for the Diploma of Hospitality Management SIT50422 is a formal assessment process that converts your existing work experience in hotels, restaurants, cafés, clubs, catering or venue management into a nationally recognised Australian qualification — without requiring you to complete full study. Delivered through a partnered Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Right Pathway supports eligible workers across Australia to compile their evidence portfolio and achieve their Diploma through the RPL pathway.
About the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management
The SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management is the current, nationally recognised qualification for hospitality managers and supervisors in Australia. Released on 9 September 2022, it supersedes the previous SIT50416 and reflects the latest industry standards set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
This qualification reflects the role of hospitality managers who use a broad range of hospitality skills combined with managerial skills and sound knowledge of the industry to coordinate hospitality operations. They operate independently, have responsibility for others and make a range of operational business decisions.
Workers at this level may work across a range of hospitality settings including hotels, restaurants, cafés, clubs, pubs, bars, and event venues. They may also have responsibility for managing teams, budgets, compliance and service standards.
