About the CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services
The CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services is the current, nationally recognised qualification for community services workers in Australia. Released on 5 September 2025, it supersedes the previous CHC52021 and reflects the latest industry standards set by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
This qualification reflects the role of community service workers involved in the delivery, management and coordination of person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities. At this level, workers operate autonomously within their scope of practice under broad direction from senior management.
Workers at this level support people to make meaningful change in their lives to improve personal and social wellbeing. They may also have responsibility for supervision of other workers and volunteers, and may undertake case management and program coordination.
